Manhart MH3 GTR & MHX3 600 true high performance cars
Manhart MH3 GTR What you can do with an BMW M3 Competition
Manhart MH3 GTR & MHX3 600 true high performance cars ? Tuner Manhart is tired of theming the controversial M3. Instead, the german custom company focuses on the dynamics of the model. The last straw: the MH3 GTR is strictly limited. Very strict, because there is only one model. And the Manhart engineers wants to modify the M3 accordingly.
In series production, the twin-turbocharged S58 inline six-cylinder of the Competition series develops 510 hp and 650 Nm of torque. After the treatment by the Manhart engineers, the engine gets 650 hp and 800 Nm from its three-liter displacement thanks to an additional control unit.
Manhart Acoustic
Acoustically, the stainless steel exhaust system with flap function emphasizes the extra power with four 100-millimeter nozzles. The tips are optionally carbon-coated or ceramic-coated.
Only approval for export , Manhart also offers exhaust systems without a particulate filter (OPF) and with a 200-cell HJS catalyst. In addition, the range also includes OPF/GPF-deleter systems as well as a choice of race downpipes without catalytic converters or sport downpipes with 300-cell GESI catalytic converters. Of course, the M3 must also be optimized in terms of driving dynamics after the Manhart operation.
Big wheels for the MH3 GTR
Accordingly, a threaded chassis or a lowering are offered as options. The brake system remains unchanged, but can be upgraded according to the customer’s wishes. Before that, Manhart mounts the “Concave One” wheels, which are available in 9×20 inches and 10.5×20 inches with a satin black finish. Other colors are also possible, as well as an optional gold decoration of the rims.
- The wheels are equipped with Michelin 265/30R20 and 295/30R20 tires.
The Manhart aesthetics
The power optics are additionally provided by a carbon diffuser, a carbon spoiler lip and side aero flics at the front. Modified rocker panels and a rear spoiler complete the package.
In addition, a special film with silver-gray decorative stripes and lettering is available. The interior features, among other things, two super-lightweight full carbon bucket seats from Recaro.
The Manhart tuner does not participate in the discussion about the aesthetics of the M3, but reinforces its interior values. The famous three-liter inline six-cylinder develops up to 650 hp and 800 Nm.
But the german custom company can’t do without the aesthetics. Spoiler, carbon, inserts and big wheels make this model a unique piece in the true sense of the word.
Manhart increases the power of the new BMW M3 Competition to 650 horsepower.
The new BMW M3 Competition already impresses with its standard power. However, there is nothing to stop it from improving this parameter slightly. This is the conclusion reached by Manhart, which has just presented its own tuning proposal for this sedan of the Bavarian brand. In addition to a tuning package that increases the power to 650 horsepower, Manhart has also modified the BMW’s styling.
Manhart is one of the most well-known tuners. It’s no longer just the BMW brand, which he still specializes in, but also cars from many other manufacturers. However, it is the modifications to Bavarian cars that are most recognizable. As such, Manhart has to make sure that the packages are elaborate and crazy enough. This time, the German tuner has tackled the M3 Competition model, which has received styling changes and a solid power increase. The designation of this model is MH3 GTR, which also emphasizes its character.
Manhart raises the power of the new BMW M3 Competition to 650 horsepower.
From the outside, you can immediately recognize that you are dealing with a Manhart. This is evidenced not only by the manufacturer’s markings, but also by the distinctive stickers throughout the car. This time, however, it’s not gold, but silver. In addition, the tuner used its own rims, which match the M3 Competition well. Thanks to H&R’s lowering springs, the car is also slightly lower. The front splitter as well as the diffuser and spoiler are made of carbon fiber. At the rear, the much larger exhaust tips are also striking.

These affect not only the sound experience, which should be much better, but also the increase in power. This time it’s a big deal, as the M3 Competition after Manhart’s tuning boasts 650 horsepower. This is a significant increase over the series, which has 510 horsepower. Maximum torque now reaches 800 Newton meters. This result was also achieved by modifying the engine software. The performance is not known, but we can assume that it is significantly higher than the series. Unfortunately, the tuner does not reveal the price of the package, but we can guess that it will not be cheap.
More than 600 HP for the BMW X3 M
German tuner Manhart has given an extra boost to BMW’s X3 M Competition SUV, which was already very powerful when it left the factory.
From the factory, the BMW SUV develops up to 510 hp and a maximum torque of 650 Nm. After the vitamin treatment by Manhart engineers, the X3 becomes an MHX3 600, whose name already points the way to power. Thanks to an additional control box, the Manhart specialists boost the twin-turbocharged three-liter inline six to 635 hp and 785 torque.
To do this, the tuner installs a stainless steel exhaust system with flap control, which leads to four carbon outlets. In addition, Manhart offers downpipes with 300-cell catalytic converters, but these are also not road-approved and are only suitable for export, just like the OPF-Delete replacement pipes with 200-cell HJS catalytic converters.
Big wheels, lots of carbon
In terms of design and aesthetics, the MHX3 600 must of course also live up to its performance. The chassis has been lowered by 30 millimeters, the wheel arches are fitted with 9×22 and 10×22 Alpina light alloy wheels with 255/35 ZR22 and 295/30 ZR22 tires to combat rolling resistance.
Manhart equips the sporty SUV with a carbon body kit with splitter, side flaps as well as front skirt inserts, mirror caps and a rear diffuser. A matte blue film with gray decorative stripes and lettering complete the look.
Manhart also installed carbon applications in the cabin. The complete Mnhart conversion package is, by the way, also available for the X4 M SUV coupe.
Individual prices for the MHX3 600
For the power upgrade, including the ECU, Manhart charges 5,698 euros. The stainless steel exhaust system with flap function costs 4,399 euros and the 22-inch wheels, including tires, are on the list for 8,200 euros. The eight-part carbon kit costs the same. The lamination costs 5,176 euros. Interestingly, only 10 units of this model will be built. Manhart has listed one of the production units for 138,000 euros.
Manhart turns the already not weak BMW X3 M Competition into an even more powerful sports SUV with well over 600 horsepower. This includes the typical custom badges: lowering, big wheels, expressive look and a new exhaust system.
