With new turbochargers, a new intake system, an upgraded intercooler and fuel injection, the GLR 700 is well positioned in terms of hardware. A software remap is the final step toward 700 horsepower.

The fact that the GLR 700 is no ordinary GLC 63 S is not only felt, but also heard. Thanks to a stainless steel sport exhaust system, the GLR 700’s extra power announces itself loud and clear. “Since our first GLR 700 was an export vehicle, we were able to let loose and add a pair of cat-free exhaust pipes,” Erfurt emphasizes.

The GLR 700 not only has more power due to the performance upgrade, but with 908 Newton-meters of torque, it also has more power to the front and rear axles.

All of this power is handled by an optimized 9-speed Speedshift automatic transmission. According to its own specifications, the GLR 700 manages the intermediate sprint from 100 to 200 km/h in 7.8 seconds. This means that the GLR 700 reaches the 200 km/h mark about two seconds faster than the GLC 63 S.
