Audi RS6-S & RSQ8-S the wagon and SUV gets another package from ABT
The next ABT highlights roll on
ABT-Sportsline is probably Audi’s most famous tuner. And not without reason, as its packages are extremely refined and spectacular. The biggest excitement is undoubtedly generated by the tuning offers for the brand’s most powerful models. The Bavarian company has recently released numerous packages for Audi RS6-S & RSQ8-S the wagon and SUV gets another package from ABT, but it doesn’t stop there. In the case of the tuner’s latest offering, it won’t be particularly spectacular or powerful.
We can say that the RS6-S that was just presented will be the base model of ABT’s tuning offering. However, that doesn’t mean it won’t be a great offering.
Aesthetically more racing
From the outside, the main change from the base RS6 will be the wheels. ABT has, as usual, opted for its trademark rims. They measure up to 22 inches, which makes them look good on the family sports car. In addition, ABT lowered the car by 25 millimeters with springs, which makes the whole thing look even better. At the rear, the diffuser was slightly modified, and four exhaust tips were added. It’s only at the front that it’s hard to notice which model it is. It is only revealed by an additional front apron, where the designation RS6-S appears.
Suspension side the cars go down different roads even in the base version. With the RSQ8-S, the Bavarian company therefore relies on ABT Level Control (ALC) to fine-tune the standard air suspension even more sportily. The Comfort level now drops by 25 mm, the Dynamic level by 15 mm, compared to the height of the standard RS Q8.
Audi RS6-S and RSQ8-S Carbon aerodynamics package
The german Tuner is also further upgrading the appearance of the high-performance Ingolstadt cars. They each receive a carbon aerodynamics package: it includes a front spoiler lip with red model lettering, side skirt attachments and a two-part roof spoiler. The four tailpipes, which measure a whopping 102 millimeters in diameter, are part of the ABT muffler system.
ABT High Performance HR rims sit in the wheel arches on both models: They measure 22 inches with 285/30R22 tires on the RS6-S, while the RSQ8-S stands on 23-inchers with tires in 295/35R23. For an additional charge, there is also a second set of wheels for winter, ABT GR in the same dimensions in each case.
Thanks to the flow-forming process used in production, the unsprung masses still remain in the green zone, so as to ensure optimal performance. The same is true for the ABT RSQ8-S, where the same wheels are used: only one size larger, at 23 inches

In terms of performance, the newcomers are hardly inferior to their predecessors. As is well known, the four-liter biturbo V8 installed in both models generates a whopping 600 hp ex works. With the ABT Power S package, which includes the ABT Engine Control control unit, it increases to a whopping 700 hp and 880 Nm. If that is not enough, a further power increase to 740 hp and 920 Nm is also possible on request.
On the chassis side, both models get lowering: The RS Q8 goes down by up to 25 millimeters with ABT Level Control for an air suspension. The RS 6 steps down by up to 25 millimeters at the front and a maximum of 30 millimeters at the rear thanks to ABT coilover springs. There are also sports stabilizers at the front and rear.
Audi RS6-S and RSQ8-S Refined interior
Last but not least, ABT naturally does not miss the opportunity to refine the interior. As standard, for example, there is a seat refinement, door entry lights, floor mats, door sill trims and a shift knob cap made of carbon. The supplementary interior package is also available as an option: it includes a center console finish and carbon fiber seat frame trim.
The basic price for the complete conversion of a delivered RS 6 or RS Q8 to the RS6-S or RSQ8-S costs 42,900 euros – plus assembly and TÜV approval: a considerable amount of money, but which on the other hand probably does not really put owners of such expensive high-performance top models in distress.
Audi RS6-S & RSQ8-S the wagon and SUV gets another package from ABT
News in sight at home ABT. The German tuner feeds his “fleet” of Audi, reworking again two great classics: the SUV RS Q8 and the station RS6. Cars that in the hands of the Kempten-based company become RS6-S and RSQ8-S.
Cars united by the identical four-liter V8 engine, whose standard output is around 600 hp (441 kW). A potential that is clearly not enough according to ABT, as demonstrated by the performance upgrade ABT Power S. It is based on the high-tech ABT Engine Control (AEC) unit that increases engine output in both cases to 700 hp (515 kW) and 880 Nm of torque.
And if that still wasn’t enough, ABT Sportsline increases the horsepower further to 740 hp (544 kW) and 920 Nm of torque. These values are combined with the extensive aerodynamic package made of carbon, which has several points in common for both cars.
