ENGINE :

With the M5 CS (Competition Sport), BMW M GmbH has added a spearhead to the F90 series: a twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre V8 increasing its output to 635 hp, a curb weight reduced by 70 kg thanks to the generous use of carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic, a newly tuned Competition Sport suspension and four (!) bucket seats make the M5 CS the king of the track among high-performance saloons. And yet : For MANHART Performance, this was not enough! Manhart engineers used the limited M5 CS “only” as the basis for the unique – nomen est omen – MH5 GTR limited 01/01 model

POWER :

MANHART Performance has increased the power and torque of the unique project vehicle from the factory’s 635 hp and 750 Nm by installing an MHtronik auxiliary control unit and MANHART carbon air intake, so the twin-turbocharged eight-cylinder engine now generates an impressive 788 hp and 935 Nm.

EXHAUST SYSTEM :

The increase in power is underlined by the powerful sound that escapes from the four 102-mm ceramic-coated or, as an option, carbon-coated tailpipes of a special exhaust system with flap. In this case, the latter also includes OPF-Delete replacement pipes with 200-cell HJS catalytic converters and an OPF/GPF Deleter, which are only available for export. A MANHART flap rear silencer with CE approval is also available. TÜV approval for performance enhancement is in preparation.

FAHRWERK / MANHART SPRING SET :

Vertically, the vehicle was aligned with the aid of a MANHART suspension upgrade: Coil springs manufactured by KW Suspensions were used to lower the vehicle in an adjustable manner and to make it even more dynamic when cornering.

EXTERIOR :

The MH5 GTR has a typical MANHART dark look thanks to its “Moonlight” trim, a shimmering foil dress in a silky dark blue, contrasted by the grey elements of the MANHART / foiling decoration set. As part of the styling, the factory gold accents of the M5 CS have been eliminated. The MANHART Classic Line forged alloy wheels with Y-spoke design, measuring 9×21 inches at the front and 10.5×21 inches at the rear. That’s why the wheel arches are equipped with the brand’s Classic Line 21-inch wheels. In the case of the vehicle shown, we can also see a silky matt black finish with gold decoration in the form of a decorative strip on the horn. Other colour configurations are available on request, rotating in the wheel arches of this unique vehicle. The dimensions of the high-performance tyres fitted are 275/30ZR21 and 295/30ZR21. On the front axle, additional spacers have been fitted for perfect alignment of the wheel/tyre combinations in the horizontal plane.
