ADRO puts the BMW M4 G82 and BMW M3 G80 under the knife. Has Adro fixed the BMW’s face?

BMW M4 G82 and BMW M3 G80 Comes out looking angry

ADRO puts the BMW M4 G82 and BMW M3 G80 under the knife. Has Adro fixed the BMW’s face ? Even after two years on the market, not everyone has gotten used to the new design of the BMW M3 G80 and M4 G82.Opinions are still divided about the XXL grille. Although we love them, there are naturally still a variety of opponents to this eye-catching optic. The tuner Adro has remedied this and developed a complete body kit with a significantly modified design.

The multiple complaints about the BMW M3 and M4 is their design language, specifically at the front. Some tuning companies have tried, and mostly failed, to improve the look of the M3/M4 with body kits and even grille changes. However, ADRO is launching its new body kit for the M3 and M4 that seems to be a must-have for any owner.

The tuner’s facelift is not limited to reducing the kidney opening, however, even though it may seem that way at first glance. In fact, Adro offers an all-new, mostly carbon front end that closely follows the lines of the original. The upper edge of the kidneys, which the tuner flattens and spreads further apart, is located at the level of the interior headlight inlets. Towards the bottom, a larger vent slot and a front spoiler lip complete the reworked look. Despite the changes, the original mounting points are retained and, according to Adro, the stock sensors are also compatible with the tuned front end.

ADRO chief designer Davis Lee previously designed the Mercedes-Mayback 6 Concept and the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and is working with ADRO aerodynamics specialist Scoot Beeton, the former Williams F1 Team responsible for the new design. Their team is therefore equipped with the knowledge and talent to make very aesthetic body kits that also seriously improve aerodynamics. These kits are not just for kids.

Although this kit is on pre-order, this ADRO body kit brings a whole new front end design to the M3/M4 that comes with an integrated front splitter.

There are also large side skirts, a rear diffuser and a large rear wing. All the components are made of carbon fiber, a field in which ADRO’s CEO Dongwan Yoo is an expert. To make the parts, the cars are 3D scanned to ensure an exact fit, but clay models are then used to simulate the parts on the cars to make sure they fit perfectly and look right. ADRO takes no shortcuts.

And above all, the modified kidney grilles look extremely nice and extremely harmonious in the design sketches. Especially in direct comparison with the original bumper, the result convinces us completely. The ADRO grilles are a little shorter, they are wider at the top and a little narrower at the bottom. Visually, this is a drastic improvement for us compared to the series.

The optics are much better!

And the design of the new grille impressively shows that the size of the grille is by no means the problem, it’s the implementation. And also the rest of the front end like the front air intakes looks much better than the factory.

The curved air guide element in particular is a real eye-catcher, in our opinion. Even though there are only sketches at the moment, we are convinced that it is suitable kit come to market like this, then it will be a huge success. And the images of the clay works suggest exactly that.

Sorry BMW, but here the ADRO team simply worked better.

The American company has just presented a new body kit for the M3 and M4, which gives a new face to the sports cars, in the center of which is a ten percent shrunken kidney. A piquant detail: a former designer of the competitor Mercedes has designed the body kit.

BMW M3 G80/M4 G82 Front end operation by a tuner

With the new M3 and M4, BMW has shown boldness on the aesthetic level. You either love the huge grille or you hate it. There is no alternative. And those who didn’t like the design when it was introduced in 2020 still haven’t adopted it. If that’s your case, Adro can help. The American tuner has introduced a carbon body kit for the BMW M3 and M4 G80/G82 series that dramatically changes the look of the Bavarian sports icon. Designed by the former Mercedes designer

The BMW M4 before the Adro treatment

The tuner Adro gives a new face to the sporty BMW M3 and M4. To do this, he reduced the kidney by 10 percent.

The parts were designed by designer Davis Lee, who previously worked for Rivian and Mercedes. Naturally, it is the front end that has been most clearly adapted. The grille has been reduced by only ten percent, but it is flatter and wider. In addition, it has been positioned lower, reminiscent of the days of Sharknose. Added to this are lowered rocker panels, a rear skirt and a gooseneck spoiler on the trunk lid, which however remains reserved for the M4. With the Adro treatment the BMW looks much more sporty and aggressive.

Also for Competition and CSL

For the design of the new front end, Adro was closely inspired by the lines of the original (respectively at the top of the picture).

The front end is the most recent project of the tuner. The rocker panels, rear diffuser and a carbon spoiler were already part of the program and continue to be. All parts are also available separately for the standard M4, as well as for the Competition and CSL models. Those who have an M3 in their garage can have the standard and Competition versions converted. The now complete body kit was officially previewed at the SEMA Tuning Show in Las Vegas (November 1 to November 5). Adro is now accepting pre-orders. The new front end starts at $3,500 (3,538 euros), with an additional $800 (808 euros) for the spoiler lip.

With the exception of the rear spoiler, all parts are available for the M3 sedan and M4 as well as their Competition versions and even the new CSL. The convertible and the Touring are not yet available. According to the specialist, the parts fit the factory assembly points, the sensors and cameras are still functional.

Gooseneck rear fender for increased downforce. The lowering and rims of the show car are not included in the kit.

Under the hood, nothing has changed. The three-liter twin-turbocharged inline six still makes 480, 510 (Competition) or 550 (CSL) and sends its power either to all four wheels or just the rear wheels. A manual transmission can be ordered for the base version, all other variants are equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Now let’s talk about the grille. In the design sketches you can see the ADRO bumper next to the original bumper and the ADRO grilles are completely different. Not a little bit different, they are entirely different. They are shorter, wider at the top and thinner at the bottom, giving each kidney grille a Superman logo look, which is a drastic improvement over the stock grilles. ADRO proves what I’ve been saying since the early days of the M3: the size of the grilles isn’t the problem, it’s the implementation. These new grilles, combined with the rest of the front bumper air intakes, are infinitely better than before, and if I owned an M3 G80 or M4 G82 , I’d push any pre-order button.

Prices start at 12,000 CHF / 12,000 Euros

The Adro-M4 will be presented live at the SEMA-Motorshow in Las Vegas (November 1-4, 2022). Pre-orders for the body kit start at 11,900 US Dollars, after that the price will increase. In Switzerland, the BMW M3 costs at least 115 100 CHF, the M4 starts at 116 200 CHF . In Germany, the M3 is available from 85,800 euros

With Adro, another tuner has tackled the controversial front end of the BMW M3 and M4. The American company has reduced the size of the kidney, enlarged the lower air slot and added a spoiler lip. This consistent body kit made its first appearance at the SEMA show in early November 2022 and is available for order now

Led by an ex-Mercedes Benz designer, ADRO offers a new approach to the BMW G80 M3 / G82 M4 Masterpeaces:

Each ADRO bumper is made of TPO and manufactured by injection molding in the same manner as many major OEMs and ensures that all sensors, cameras and systems of the new generation of this chassis are maintained as well as the factory mounting positions. Optional carbon fiber components complete the Aero ADRO M3 G80 /M4 G82 kit to ensure that your vehicle’s presence is demanded.

Don’t like the grille of the BMW M3 and M4?

A few years after their launch, the BMW M3 and M4 continue to divide opinion. The point of contention remains the front grille, which some people are trying to rectify as best they can.
Adro has the solution and takes advantage of it to make the look of the G80 and G82 even more aggressive. The new realization comes from Adro, which in addition to modifying the grille according to a very ingenious interpretation, was interested in the bumpers and the side skirts of the two German sports cars.

Are the BMW M3 G80 and M4 G82 are well and truly transformed.

The result is more than successful, bad fundamentals corrected. Equipped with this kit, the BMW M3 G80 and M4 G82 are well and truly transformed.

The chief designer at Adro Davis Lee, explains “We had a specific objective, that of correcting all the bad fundamentals of this front bumper and to design a front face that the M4 G82 deserves”.

In-house engineers say the new grille is wider, but also 10 percent lower. They also repositioned it a little lower to give the front end a more aggressive look. They also notice that the air intakes have been modified, with more angular fins and a blade has been added to the bottom of the bumper.

Under the hood, the original OEM engine is still in place and its 510 hp output remains unchanged. This aerodynamic and not just aesthetic kit fits perfectly to all versions, even to the BMW M4 CSL. This Aero kit also modifies the rear air extractor and brings a very nice spoiler to the BMW M4 G82.

Pre-order your kit!

Count 3 500 dollars for the front bumper, 3 500 dollars for the air diffuser, 3 500 dollars for the spoiler, 1 900 dollars for the side skirts and 900 dollars for the front blade. In total, the price of the complete kit is more than $12,000 but it is possible to get a customized offer if you pre-order the kit.
