RacingLine offers a Turbo Muffler Delete, also called outlet, for your vehicle.
By removing the original “muffler”, the air flow is no longer restricted by turbulence because the RacingLine product offers a perfectly smooth and closed tube with a larger inner diameter. Installed at the outlet of the turbocharger, this accessory allows the air to exit in a straight line, for a better sound, improved throttle response and reduced turbo lag. A gain of power is thus obtained.
Turbo Muffler Delete Racingline EA888 MQB 1.8/2.0 TSI GEN3
- The RacingLine Turbo Muffler Delete is cut from a single piece of aircraft grade T6-6061 aluminum using CNC machines.
- The piece is then hand polished and anodized in gloss black, so that it will maintain this same look throughout its life. Finally, a white RacingLine laser-engraved logo adorns the product.
MQB EA888.3 vehicles (1.8L / 2.0L)
As usual, RacingLine offers a part that is compatible with all MQB EA888.3 vehicles (1.8L / 2.0L), which can be easily installed in place of the original (“OEM+”).

Technical issue.
Our Turbo Muffler Delete is a sleek single billet design that replaces the restrictive, power-robbing compressor outlet with a smooth, turbulence-free air path exiting the turbo.
- The standard part is located on the outlet of the turbo compressor and is simply designed to reduce engine bay acoustics.
- Whilst it subdues the harmonic noises generated by the turbo, it also adds disruptive turbulence to the airflow right where you don’t want it.
- By replacing the standard part with our maximum diameter Turbo Muffler Delete, you’ll replace this unwanted restriction with a smooth CFD-developed uninterrupted air path.
- The result: noticeably better boost response giving a little more power and throttle reaction, all the while being able to actually hear your turbo working.
