Scope: Exhausts, aerodynamic kits, suspension modules, wheels, and ECU upgrades.
Objective: Document all mechanical, thermal, and electronic considerations; provide expert recommendations.

1. Exhaust Systems

Materials and Thermal Loads

  • Stainless steel vs. Inconel: Inconel systems (Ferrari SF90, 812 Superfast, Lamborghini Aventador SVJ) operate at surface temperatures up to 650–700°C under high load; stainless steel peaks around 500–550°C.
  • Impact on OEM components: Polymer diffusers and bumper carriers have continuous tolerance 180–200°C, short-term 230°C. Without proper shielding, heat can soften or warp components.
  • Recommendation: change diffuser or install Novitec-supplied heat shields when Inconel is used.

Outlet Geometry and Clearance

  • Tailpipe diameters and spacing may not perfectly match OEM apertures, especially with Novitec carbon diffusers or aero kits.
  • Misalignment can reduce thermal clearance and alter airflow patterns around the outlets, creating hot spots.
  • Recommendation: change diffuser or adjust rear underbody panels to maintain design tolerances.

Vibrational Loads

  • Increased system mass (Inconel or larger silencer) increases bending moments on mounts and isolators by 10–15%.
